"The Mission Statement of the UK Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery( UKAAPS ) in collaboration with the Postgraduate Medical Institute (PMI) at the Anglia Ruskin University, Chelmsford is to promote safe, ethical, efficacious plastic surgery to the public by establishing and maintaining high standards for the education, examination and certification of plastic surgeons in Aesthetic Plastic Surgery."
Purposes:
The essential purposes of the UKAAPS/PMI collaboration are:
- To establish requirements for the qualification of applicants who request a certificate of their ability in the field of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery.
- To conduct examination of approved candidates.
- To issue Diplomas to those who meet the requirements of entry to the programme and pass the respective examination. The Diploma does not confer on any person legal qualifications, privileges or licence to practice Aesthetic Plastic Surgery. It is evidence of advanced training in Aesthetic Plastic Surgery.
