Dr. Sirotakova qualified in medicine from Komensky University in Bratislava in 1973. She was appointed consultant plastic surgeon in 2005 and works at St Andrew's Centre of Plastic Surgery, Broomfield Hospital Chelmsford. She is also one of the consultant plastic surgeons at Southend Hospital NHS Trust.
Dr. Sirotakova main interest is surgery for rheumatoid arthritis of the hand, osteoarthritis, dupuytren's disease surgery and secondary reconstructive surgery following hand trauma. She has published papers in the international hand journals and talked at international presentations. Dr. Sirotakova other interest include dermatological surgery, including skin cancers.
