Paul graduated from Charing Cross Hospital and attained training to his Fellowships in General Surgery, Paediatric, Vascular Surgery and Urology before undergoing his Specialist Plastic Surgery training at Odstock Hospital, Salisbury. He also carried out a research thesis and obtained his Master of Surgery degree; and currently assists research into breast augmentation, fat and skin pathology. Paul Levick came to the Midlands in 1984 to be a Consultant Plastic, Burns and Trauma Surgeon at the Birmingham Accident Hospital and worked there in the NHS until 1993. During this time he started regular general plastic surgery clinics and operating lists at Selly Oak Hospital which has now become the major centre for Plastic Surgery in the Midlands. His other achievements at the Birmingham Accident Hospital included the commencement of Laser treatment of red birthmarks, microvascular reconstructive surgery and the formation of Europe’s first skin culture laboratory for burns.
