Garrick qualified at the University of Cape Town in 1993 before returning to the UK to complete specialist plastic surgery training. He has spent 13 years in plastic surgery, passing the FRCS Plastic Surgery exit exam and obtained the Certificate of Completion of Surgical Training in 1997. He is on the General Medical Council Specialist Register in Plastic Surgery. Further post graduate specialist training included fellowships in aesthetic surgery (London), breast and microsurgery (Chelmsford). He is a currently a Locum Consultant in Peterborough and Hinchingbrooke Hospitals.
