Mr Georgeu completed his medical training in 1993 at the University of Cape Town, before returning to the UK to pursue specialist plastic surgery training. A highly respected authority in breast surgery, he is currently one of very few surgeons in the UK to have pursued formal, dedicated training in Aesthetic Surgery, having being awarded a Degree in Aesthetic Plastic Surgery from Anglia Ruskin University. He also holds postgraduate Fellowships in Aesthetic Surgery (London, UK), Breast and Microsurgery (Chelmsford, UK), and Trauma (Pretoria, South Africa). Garrick specialises in aesthetic surgery of the breast and abdomen, in particular breast enlargement, breast lift and the “Brazilian” tummy tuck - a revolutionary new technique which is less painful than the traditional method, requires no drains and allows patients to go home the following morning.
He trained in specialist breast techniques under acclaimed plastic surgeon Professor James Frame, and is one of only a handful of UK surgeons currently offering conical breast implants. Keen to keep up with developments in the field, he regularly attends industry meetings and has appeared regularly over the last few years at national and international meetings as an expert speaker, including the BAAPS annual conference and the Body Contouring Conference. He is also a prolific author, having published numerous clinical research papers and articles on a wide range of surgical themes. Mr Georgeu is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons, has full registration with the General Medical Council (No 4072531), and is a full member of BAPRAS (British Association of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeons), UKAAPS (UK Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery) and ISAPS (International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery).
