Biography:

Professor Charles Malata is Consultant Plastic Surgeon at Addenbrooke's University Hospital, Cambridge with private and NHS practices in Cambridge & Peterborough. He is also a Visiting Professor at Anglia Ruskin University Postgraduate Medical Institute. After plastic surgery residency at Canniesburn Hospital in Scotland, he undertook superspecialty training in the USA (1998-1999) as a cosmetic and breast surgery fellow at Georgetown University (Washington, DC) and Emory University Hospital (Atlanta, Georgia). He is an experienced and highly skilled surgeon who was recently voted by his peers as one of the top 10 breast plastic surgeons in the UK (Daily Mail poll). Professor Malata has an active academic and clinical research interest with over 110 peer-reviewed scientific publications (Malata PubMed Papers) and lectures nationally and internationally on cosmetic, breast and free flap surgery (Malata Conference Papers ). He also served as the President of the European Society for Surgical Research from 2011-2013.
