Professor James Frame represented UKAAPS, and The School of Medicine of the Anglia Ruskin University, as an invited speaker at the 13th Meeting of the Hellenic Society of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Plastic Surgery in Athens , Greece in October 2019.  He was invited by his friend, fellow UKAAPS member and colleague, Professor  Pericles Foroglou and the organising committee of the Hellenic Society.

It was a well attended High Class Educational meeting with representatives from many European countries , Brazil and the USA including Bryant A. Toth ( USA) and Milomir Ninkovic ( Munich, Germany).  Some excellent lectures on trauma and burns reconstruction and restoration of function were given by some of the worlds recognised leading experts, and the course was managed exceptionally well by the organising and administrative committee.

UKAAPS will be organising a cadaveric workshop at the Department of Anatomy at The School of Medicine , Chelmsford in 2020, and some of the speakers from the Athens meeting will be on the workshop faculty.  This will be relevant to NHS trainees as well as experienced Consultants and will be co-hosted by Kallaroi Zaffetta, a leading Craniofacial Reconstructive Consultant Plastic Surgeon, Mid Essex Hospitals.  UKAAPS members will be warmly invited to attend.

UKAAPS was formed to play a fundamental role in educating the public on the benefits and risks associated with Plastic Surgery. UKAAPS is the only UK association whose membership is only available to fully accredited plastic surgeons that practice non-surgical aesthetics and aesthetic/cosmetic surgery.
